Red city breathing, lanterns like stars
I came with a map, I left with scars
Coins in my pocket, dust in my jeans
I’m living my life in between, in between

Jemaa el Fna got smoke in the air
Spice on my tongue and a stare in my stare
Gold on the wrist of a man in a suit
Barefoot kid with a plastic flute
Monuments tall like they never fall
But the alleyway hunger still lives in the wall
I buy mint tea, I buy a small calm
Trying to fix what I cannot solve

I watch the rich walk light on the ground
I watch the broke turn pain into sound
And every prayer hits the sky, then it falls
Right back on the street where the night never stalls

Marrakech, hold my heart, don’t break it
Neon and sand, I can’t fake it
I’m a middle traveler, lost but awake
Love in my chest, loss in my luggage
Marrakech, I feel the spirit move
In the crowd, in the heat, in the rooftop groove
If there’s a god in the noise and the dust
Meet me right here, in between, in between

Leather and copper, the market sings
Hands reach out with invisible strings
Perfume, incense, smoke, and time
A stranger smiles like a warning sign
A palace door with a velvet guard
Two streets away, life hits hard
I see a man count bills, calm and clean
I see a mother count breaths, unseen

I don’t judge, I just take it in
Every face got a private sin
Every street got a holy side
And a dark little corner you cannot hide

Marrakech, hold my heart, don’t break it
Neon and sand, I can’t fake it
I’m a middle traveler, lost but awake
Love in my chest, loss in my luggage
Marrakech, I feel the spirit move
In the crowd, in the heat, in the rooftop groove
If there’s a god in the noise and the dust
Meet me right here, in between, in between

Red wall, night call, prayer in the air
Lantern glow, slow flow, eyes everywhere
Suit rich, gold stitch, soft hands, cold lips
Back street, bare feet, hope hangs, no grip
I pay for a story, I tip for a smile
I walk past a throne, then I walk past a child
I came for the view, got truth instead
City like fire, city in my head

Can you get louder than this
Can you get louder than this
Woahhhhh

Marrakech, hold my heart, don’t break it
Neon and sand, I can’t fake it
I’m a middle traveler, lost but awake
Love in my chest, loss in my luggage
Marrakech, I feel the spirit move
In the crowd, in the heat, in the rooftop groove
If there’s a god in the noise and the dust
Meet me right here, in between, in between

I’ll leave, but I’ll stay in the sound
Marrakech, spinning me round
